Accessibility Statement
Jovytensor is committed to providing a website that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, including those with disabilities. Our compliance is guided by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA.
- Contrast ratios meet the minimum 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
- All interactive elements are keyboard‑navigable and focus‑visible.
- Images include descriptive alternative text.
- Animations respect users’ reduced‑motion preferences.
- A skip‑to‑content link is available at the top of each page.
We recognise that no website is perfect. The following areas are currently limited:
- Some third‑party widgets (e.g., embedded social media feeds) may not fully support keyboard navigation.
- Dynamic content updates via JavaScript are announced to screen readers only when the page is fully loaded.
- Some older browsers used by a minority of visitors may not support all modern HTML5 features.
Feedback is essential to help us improve. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 7 business days. If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
Legal basis for our accessibility effort includes:
- Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth) – provision of equal access to information.
- Australian Consumer Law – fair practices in service delivery.
- Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) – protection of personal data collected through accessibility reporting.
Compliance status: As of 15 October 2026, Jovytensor meets WCAG 2.2 AA in most functional areas. Ongoing audits are performed every six months to identify and remediate gaps.
Future plans: We intend to integrate ARIA live region announcements for dynamic updates, expand alt‑text coverage for all images, and ensure all embedded third‑party content is accessible or replaced by accessible equivalents.
Additional resources: For guidance on creating accessible content, see W3C Web Accessibility Initiative and Australian Privacy Principles.
1. Accessibility Features
All text meets contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 against its background. Keyboard users can navigate all interactive elements using the Tab key, and focus styles are clearly visible. Images are supplied with descriptive alt attributes. The website respects the user’s 'prefers-reduced-motion' setting by disabling non‑essential animations.
Skip‑to‑content links are positioned at the top of every page, allowing users to bypass repetitive navigation.
2. Known Limitations
Some embedded widgets, such as social media timelines, may lack full keyboard support. Content that updates dynamically via JavaScript is announced to screen readers only after the page has finished loading. Older browsers may not support all HTML5 features.
3. Feedback and Contact
If you discover an accessibility issue, please email [email protected]. We will respond within 7 business days. If you are not satisfied, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au.
4. Legal Basis and Standards
Our accessibility commitments are grounded in:
- Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth)
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA
- Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth))
- Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) – Australian Privacy Principles 1 and 5
These provisions ensure equal access to information and fair service practices.
5. Compliance Status
As of the last audit in March 2026, Jovytensor meets WCAG 2.2 AA in all core functionalities. We conduct bi‑annual audits to maintain and improve compliance.
6. Future Plans
Upcoming updates include ARIA live region support for dynamic content, expanded alt text for all images, and replacement of inaccessible third‑party widgets with accessible alternatives.
