Frequently Asked Questions
Project Initiation
What do I need to do before placing an order?
Contact us via [email protected] or (07) 3388 4743 to discuss the scope of your project. Provide a brief description of the work, the number of tracks, and your preferred outcome. We will then confirm availability, recommend a suitable service package, and give you a detailed quote.
How does Jovytensor handle new client inquiries?
All new enquiries are acknowledged within 24 hours. Our response time is guaranteed under the response_hours rule of 24 hours. If you do not hear from us within that timeframe, please call us directly.
What are the minimum and maximum project sizes we accept?
Our studio can comfortably handle up to 15 tracks per month as stated in our Monthly Capacity fact. Smaller projects, such as a single track or a short EP, are also welcome. Projects exceeding 15 tracks will be evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis.
Do I need to be in Brisbane to work with Jovytensor?
No. All mixing and mastering work is performed remotely. We only require the final master files in WAV format for delivery. However, if you prefer an in‑person session, we can arrange a visit to our control room, located at 142 Queen Street, Brisbane.
Preparing Your Files
What file formats do you accept for mixing and mastering?
We accept stem files in WAV or AIFF with a minimum of 24‑bit depth and 48 kHz sample rate. For mastering, a single track in high‑resolution WAV (24 bit, 48 kHz) is required. If you need help converting your files, let us know.
How should I organise my stems for best results?
Stems should be clearly labelled (e.g., vocal‑lead, snare, bass) and organised in separate folders. Keep each stem within the same sample rate and bit depth, and ensure there is at least 6 dB of headroom on each track. This practice aligns with our min_headroom_db rule of –6 dB.
Do you accept compressed audio files?
No. We require uncompressed WAV or AIFF files to preserve audio quality. Compression can introduce artefacts that reduce the effectiveness of our mixing and mastering processes.
Can I submit my project in a language other than English?
All communications are conducted in English, as per our Communication fact. However, we can read and understand any language in the audio itself; the only language requirement applies to written correspondence.
Revision Process
How many revision rounds are included in a mix or master?
Each project includes three revision rounds, as defined by our revision_rounds rule. Each round is limited to 30 minutes of change, and we ask that you submit detailed notes on what you’d like adjusted.
Will I be charged for additional revisions?
Additional revisions beyond the included three rounds are billed at our standard hourly rate. We will send you a proposal before any extra work is performed.
What happens if I request a rush delivery?
Rush orders incur a 30 % rush fee as per our rush_fee_pct rule. Rush projects must be requested at least 48 hours before the desired delivery date.
How long after delivery can I request changes?
Revision requests must be made within five business days of delivery, in line with our delivery_days rule. After that period, we no longer accept alterations.
Delivery & Formats
What final formats will I receive?
We deliver a 24‑bit, 48 kHz WAV master and an MP3 at 320 kbps. For EP or album projects, we also provide a version for streaming with the required loudness normalization.
Do you provide a loudness report?
Yes. Each project includes a loudness report in LUFS and true‑peak metrics, which is essential for streaming services. This document helps you avoid playback issues on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
Will the project be stored after completion?
We retain all project files for six months to support any future revisions, as per our storage_months rule. After that period, the files are permanently deleted.
How do I download the final files?
Upon completion, we’ll email you a secure download link. The link is valid for 48 hours; after that you must request a new one. For large files, we recommend using a reliable download manager.
Payment & Policies
What is your deposit policy?
We require a 50 % deposit before work commences, as outlined in our deposit_pct rule. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the final masters.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept bank transfer, PayPal, and credit card payments. For B2B clients, a 14‑day payment term is offered, in accordance with our b2b_payment_days rule.
How do I cancel an order?
Cancellation must be requested in writing via email. If the deposit has already been paid, it is non‑refundable. However, we can offer a credit for future work if you wish to reschedule.
What privacy measures do you have in place?
All client data is handled in compliance with the Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles. We store data securely and only for the duration necessary to fulfill the project.
Where can I find more detailed terms of service?
Our full Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities of both parties, including rights to the finished product and confidentiality obligations.
