EP & Album Mastering
At Jovytensor, we blend meticulous sonic engineering with creative insight to transform your collection of tracks into a cohesive, radio‑ready release. Our 24 m² control room, equipped with ATC SCM25A and Focal Shape monitors, ensures every nuance is captured and refined. Whether you’re an independent artist, a small label, or a band preparing a debut EP, our mastering workflow delivers a polished product that meets the technical standards of streaming, vinyl, and club systems.
Four‑Step Mastering Process
- Submission & Analysis – Upload your stereo stems or final mixes through our secure portal. We perform a quality check, verify file formats (WAV/AIFF 24‑bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz), and assess loudness, frequency balance, and headroom. We also confirm metadata such as artist name, track title, and ISRC.
- Mastering & Quality Assurance – Using industry‑standard plugins and bespoke hardware, we apply EQ, compression, limiting, and stereo imaging. Our team monitors true‑peak levels to stay below −1 dBTP and maintains a target loudness of ‑16 LUFS for streaming platforms. We also perform a meticulous frequency sweep to eliminate resonances that could affect playback on vinyl or club systems.
- Review & Revisions – You receive a provisional master and a detailed QA report. We provide up to three revision rounds within the delivery window. Each round is completed within 48 hours of receiving your feedback, ensuring that your artistic intent remains intact.
- Final Delivery – Upon approval, we hand over 24‑bit WAV files, 320 kbps MP3s, and any requested alternate mixes (instrumental, clean, TV‑mix). You also receive a comprehensive loudness report (LUFS, true‑peak, RMS) and a quick‑start guide for distribution.

Who Should Consider This Service?
Independent artists, small record labels, and DIY producers who need a professional finish for an EP or album. If you’re targeting streaming platforms, vinyl releases, or club play, our mastering ensures your tracks meet the technical standards of each medium. Our studio can handle up to 15 tracks per month, so you can schedule multiple releases without delay.
What to Prepare Before Submission
To ensure a smooth workflow, provide the following:
- High‑resolution stereo stems in WAV or AIFF (24‑bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz)
- Track names and desired order in a simple spreadsheet
- Specific loudness or tonal preferences (e.g., “warm” vs. “bright”) in a brief
- Metadata for all tracks (artist, title, ISRC, etc.)
- Clear communication channel (email or our portal) for review requests
Delivery Times
Our standard turnaround is five business days after the final revision approval. We provide a 24‑hour response time for any inquiries. If you need a faster turnaround, we offer a rush fee of 30 % on the base price. Rush services must be requested at least 48 hours in advance. All delivery dates are calculated in business days, excluding weekends and public holidays.
What Is Not Included
- Mixing of individual tracks – we only master finished stereo mixes
- Audio repairs (e.g., click removal, noise reduction) – these must be completed before we receive your files
- Mastering of more than five tracks – additional tracks incur an extra fee of A$150 (incl. GST) per track
- Physical packaging or vinyl cutting – we only deliver digital masters
- Legal or copyright clearance – you must hold rights to all material you submit
How GST Is Calculated
All prices listed include the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10 %. For example, the base price for an EP is A$600. Adding GST results in A$660. The invoice will detail the GST component for your records. We use the standard GST calculation: Price (inc. GST) = Price (ex. GST) × 1.10.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Sub‑optimal source files – low‑resolution or compressed waveforms degrade the mastering quality.
- Inadequate headroom – if the source is already loud, our ability to raise loudness further is limited.
- Missing metadata – errors in ISRC or track titles can cause issues during distribution.
- Ignoring the loudness target – streaming services penalise tracks that exceed platform loudness limits.
- Delayed revision requests – late feedback can push back the delivery date.
- Submitting incomplete project files – missing stems or track names can delay analysis.
