Professional Track Mixing

At Jovytensor we turn your raw recordings into polished, radio‑ready tracks. Whether you’re a home producer, an indie band or a small label, our 24 m² control room in Brisbane is equipped with ATC SCM25A monitors and Focal Shape speakers to deliver an acoustically neutral listening environment. With a monthly capacity of 15 tracks, we can keep your workflow moving efficiently while maintaining the highest quality.

4‑Step Mixing Process

Step 1 – File Intake & Project Setup

You send us your stems (or a single multitrack file) in WAV or AIFF, 24‑bit, 48 kHz. We create a session in Pro Tools or Logic, label every track, set up time‑code and establish a session template that matches your project’s genre. We also verify that your files meet our minimum headroom requirement of –6 dB to avoid clipping during the early stages.

Step 2 – Editing & Noise Removal

We perform pitch correction where needed, clean up clicks, pops and hums, and align phase. This step ensures that each element sits perfectly in the mix and that the final master will translate well on all playback systems.

Step 3 – Balance, EQ & Stereo Imaging

Using a combination of high‑quality analog‑style EQs and compressors, we shape each track, set the overall balance, and create a clear stereo image. We keep the mix true to the source while emphasising the musical intent, whether that’s a punchy rock track or a subtle acoustic demo.

Step 4 – Automation, Effects & Final Polish

Dynamic changes are added through automation, subtle reverb and delay are applied where appropriate, and the mix is refined to sound cohesive across all listening devices. We conduct a final quality check, generate reference tracks, and prepare the deliverables.

How GST Is Calculated

Australia’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) is 10 % and is included in the prices above. For example, the Standard Mix costs A$ 675 inc GST; the excluding‑GST price is A$ 613.64. We issue a tax invoice upon receipt of the final payment, compliant with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regulations.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

1. Sending low‑resolution files. 24‑bit, 48 kHz is our standard; anything lower can compromise the mix quality.
2. Over‑compressing early stages. The first step is to preserve dynamics; compression is applied in the later stages.
3. Not providing a creative brief. Without clear direction, the mix may not meet your expectations.
4. Ignoring reference tracks. If you have a track you love, sharing it ensures we replicate the desired aesthetic.
5. Delaying file delivery. Late submissions push the project back, risking missed deadlines.
6. Over‑expecting free revisions. We include three rounds; additional changes will incur extra charges.

Client Collaboration

Throughout the mixing process we maintain open communication via email and scheduled calls. After the initial edit we provide a reference clip and solicit feedback. We then incorporate your comments during the revision rounds, ensuring the final mix aligns with your vision. If you prefer a different workflow, we can adjust our schedule accordingly.

Delivery and Formats

Upon final approval we deliver the mix in a secure download link. Available formats include 24‑bit WAV, MP3 320 kbps, and a session file in Pro Tools or Logic. For those who need a 24‑bit A‑format stereo mix for vinyl or high‑resolution streaming, this can be requested at an additional flat fee.

Post‑Mix Support

After delivery we remain available for up to two weeks to address any last‑minute tweaks or format conversions. If you encounter playback issues on a particular device, let us know and we’ll provide a quick re‑render. For long‑term storage, we offer a 6‑month project archive on our secure server, after which the files are archived to external media and deleted from active storage.
